Description

The national scholarship is the most well-known scholarship that provides funds that cover all four years of tuition towards the degree that you pursue.

There are also scholarship options to provide for those that only require 2-3 years of education.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be a high school graduate
  • Meet the required SAT and/or ACT scores. The minimum SAT scores are 550 Critical Reading, 540 Math (1100 combined), and the minimum ACT scores are 21 Math, 22 English (44 combined).*
  • Be between 17-23 years of age by Sept. 1 of the year starting college
  • Have no criminal record
  • Be physically/medically qualified by Navy standards
  • Be admitted to an approved NROTC college or university

Some basic responsibilities of Midshipmen are as follows:
  • Maintain military standards both in and out of uniform
  • Participate in unit events
  • Ensure that you are attending and passing classes 
  • Maintain your physical fitness to preform to Navy or Marine Corps standards
  • Develop your level of professionalism
